Excellence really did come home to Arena Academy!

We were delighted that the two-times Paralympian, Louise Hunt, visited Arena Academy to work with some of our Year 10 GCSE PE students. Louise, a current wheelchair tennis player, thrilled and challenged students with her ‘Beyond the Baseline’ workshop.

Louise coached our Year 10s, many of whom are interested in pursuing careers in education, in how to deliver tennis workshops to Primary school children. Our GCSE PE students, in turn, took that newly-discovered expertise to three local primary schools. We are exceptionally proud of our participating Year 10s – for their leadership, enthusiasm and excellent communication and organisational skills.

Louise was a source of immense inspiration, offering our students humour, insight and motivation which they will take with them into tennis and beyond.
