Each CORE School has its own Local Governing Body (LGB). Each LGB has delegated authority from the Trust to support and challenge the Headteacher. The Trust’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) works closely with both the Headteacher and the Chair of Governors to ensure scrutiny procedures are effective and that governance is robust, with a strong regard for statutory compliance.
The running of the Trust is undertaken by the CEO and monitored by the Board of Directors who hold the CEO to account and manage his performance. The Trust is governed by its Articles of Association which are agreed with its Members. In charitable law, the Directors are referred to as Trustees.
The Headteachers work with the CEO to agree a bespoke Service Level Agreement between each School and the Trust. This is viewed annually.
